It is very hectic, traveling back and forth to Baton Rouge from Biloxi 3 days in a row. I don’t want to miss anything.

Wait, USM has a med school? I thought UM in Jackson was the only place in Mississippi you could get an MD...

Congratulations. I am so proud of you. Now on your way out the door, please leave all the keys, credit cards. This is no longer your home. Call before you come over. Me and your maw might be busy.

Congratulations to him. To him goes the credit. I did not do anything, lol. Thanks though.

I get the sentiment, but I disagree. From the time he was young, you provided the environment and support that alllowed him to create a lofty goal, and then pursue it. Of course he is responsible for the hard academic work and the long hours in residency and the perseverance to complete his requirements. But without you he wouldn’t have had that tenacity and drive. So, yes, congrats to him. But also congrats to you on raising a dedicated and productive human being.

Going to be surreal dropping them off at college. A million things I should have taught him about. Oh well.

I’ve got my son graduating med school at 10AM Saturday morning in Hattiesburg and my daughter graduating undergrad at LSU at 6PM Saturday night. Going to be a stressful day. Yikes. Safe travels

Both went off without a hitch. No wrecks on 12 thankfully. Made it back to BR around 2:30. Freaking LSU’s graduation lasted 2 hours and 45 minutes. When did they start having doctoral and masters grads in with the undergrads? All that used to be separate.

Have the same shirt. Oldest just graduated yesterday from LSU. Her first year was like being sent to prison.

Very proud of her and very happy to get her off the payroll.

Seriously. My daughter was in the first 20% to walk. The next 2 hours were a slog. We did get to see Nuss, Campbell, Perkins and Ramos cross the stage.

Wife graduated with Kevin Faulk.

Oldest graduated summa cum laude from lsu engineering yesterday at the same time that the youngest had her dance recital

#3 finishes high school this week (we homeschool and our homeschool club had a graduation ceremony yesterday at the same time the other two things were going on - needless to say we skipped that)

To be honest, I feel a mix of pride and sadness. Time flies by soooo fast.

Same my son graduates Friday night and will be home for one month then off to the USNA. Can’t express how proud I am he will attend the academy but man time with him is running short.

Right now, I’m exhausted with all the prep for incoming family and party plans. Haven’t even figured out what food to have at post graduation get together.

This is good bc I probably would have bought a of sad crying off and on if I weren’t so busy but mine is an only child so I’m headed straight to the empty nest in a few months

We had it catered. One less thing to worry about and the food was great. Some of the best etouffe I’ve ever had.
