What CBS did on air regarding the jurors of the Chauvin case is inexcusable.

No pension here. I didn’t retire, I resigned.

How many years did you have in? I think there's a ton of people in your shoes who want to leave, but no feel they're do committed to the retirement to walk away now.

What search terms, job categories did you concentrate your search in?

I searched for investigator/investigation positions.

Blaine Salamomi is a terrible example to use of someone who did it right. But I get your point.

Do think the police would disarm law abiding civilians if called to do so by our politicians?

Unfortunately yes, I do think some would. I can’t put a percentage on it because I believe it would vary by location.

An on air anchor stated that they knew basically all of the personal information of each juror and pretty much threatened to release it if the verdict wasn’t what they wanted.

It was the politicization of the job. I could be put into an extreme situation where I do everything correct and still get hung out to dry. Hell, it already happened in BR with Blaine Salamomi. The risk to my well-being wasn’t worth it any longer. I had no issue with body cameras either. I feel that they’re a great tool. I was in a position that I didn’t have to wear they daily anyway.

You may not agree with that sentiment, but that’s the answer to your question.

Very informative reply.

I was at about 9 years with BRPD. I would agree with that sentiment.

Congratulations OP. I don’t blame you one bit. The nation will see more and more of this.

I was using him as a local example. I understand how you and others may see him as a bad example, but at least you see what I was trying to convey.

You are absolutely right with everything except this. It is just racism.

fricking yikes. CBS usually keeps their coverage of events like this pretty straight forward(within context of comparing to the competition). That's a direct threat to our democracy.

I would bet there's an 80% chance that the case has to be retried.

There are definitely plenty of avenues for appeals.

Congrats on getting out. I don’t know how police departments are going find good people going forward.

The revenge crowd and defund crowd must be making recruitment difficult.

One question.

Was it hard hearing the democrats say police need more accountability without ever saying anything about the criminals and citizens being more accountable and decent?

Recruitment? They don't have enough ammunition to have an academy even if they wanted.

Yes at first, but I quickly learned to ignore what Democrat politicians said regarding law enforcement.

That's a fact. They can't even practice because there isn't enough ammunition.

Yep that’s correct. There are a lot of things going on with BRPD that I can see catching up to them in the next 5, 10, and 15 years.
