The super speeder is for anything 85 and over. Cruise control on 84 is the way to travel on interstates here.

You haven't driven that fast in over 50 years, who are you kidding?

Absolutely. I live by the moto of make them say no when trying to do something. If you don’t even try that’s a guaranteed no

We have 80MPH zones out here in Utah, Wyoming and Idaho.

It’s nice.

It's over 20 or 85+.

If you are going 60 in a 40, you get the super speeder even though you aren't over 85.

Police officers ought to be equiped with a Square reader in addition to a digital ticket book.

Then the tag line on the car should be changed from "Protect and Serve" to "Collect and Serve."

As far as the Collect and Serve motto, that is actually pretty accurate in some jurisdictions in Louisiana as most are also the parish's property tax collector.

There’s no 75mph speed limit in GA. Maybe you were in a construction zone? Doubled if speeding in one of those

And nobody gets too mad if you're doing 88 or so.

Or maybe I was just lucky...

Years ago I got clocked doing 85 in a 55 on I65 in Tennessee right before the Kentucky state line. County deputy took my license and writes out the ticket. I ask him if I could just pay it. He says yeah, but the county courthouse is closed for the day. He says you could go to the courthouse in the morning and pay it or show up in two weeks if you want to contest it. I asked how much the ticket was and he $100 (don’t remember the exact amount). He told him I wouldn’t be around in the morning or in two weeks. He pulls a piece of paper out of his ticket book and hands it to me. On it are printed a name with a PO Box address. He told me to mail a money order for $50 to the name and address, enclosing the ticket number with the money order and after the money order is received, they would mail me my license

Sounds like he "lost" the ticket, grabbed your check, and mailed the license back. Little unearned OT.

After the energy crisis when fedgov rescinded the national speed limit and turned it back to the states either Wyoming or Montana didn't put a number on their speed limit it was just something like appropriate for the given conditions.

At some point I think it got challenged in court because two different people with different vehicles in the same conditions could have different appropriate speeds.

Finally fedgov wrote it into the federal highway appropriations bill that there had to be a defined upper limit.
