There are no 75 MPH speed limit zones in GA. Max speed limit is 70MPH. The Super Speeder offense is triggered at 15 MPH over the posted speed limit. Ninety-nine times out of a hundred, if you're not an a-hole to the officer making the stop, he'll drop the citation down to a little under the amount that would have triggered the super speeder fine.
Sounds like "someone" might have been trying to argue with the officer during the stop.

I had a ticket in Giddings Texas. I said I'm not going to pay it. I didn't. Two years later my louisiana license was suspended. I had to pay the fine, a debt collector and had to pay to reinstate the license.
So I say just pay it or it'll cost more later.
