These are actually pretty commonplace at many fire departments, hospitals, etc . Nothing new at all. My hospital has had one since before I started there in 2007.

I'll try the veal if someone else will too.

I would definitely argue it'll be encouraged if there are no legal ramifications, like there would be for throwing your child in a dumpster.

Won't argue with anything else you said.

It's actually a good ideal, because this could save more infants from being chucked into woods, trash cans, etc.

It just seems like something you would read from the Onion.

and in that case, wouldn't you say the child is more likely better off anyway?

As nurse said it's been around for awhile. Even without there's a lot of places designated safe for dropping a foundling off.

most likely.

How desperate does someone have to be to murder their infant baby?

Because now they can do it, legally(you know what I mean).

Now we have people running around who we're willing to murder their baby. The hell else are they willing to do when desperate?

I'm not disagreeing with you. Basically just rambling because I can't wrap my mind around how horrible this subject it.

I have my nephew convinced he's going to be eaten to make room for the new nephew.

I treasure the calls from his exasperated mother.

Sad but better than abortion or dumping the baby off in a dumpster.

The line is apparently teaching the 8yo niece Sublime's 2 Joints and encouraging her to teach her friends at recess.

Apparently she wants to pretend that wasn't her daily routine in highschool.
