How long have you been sober?

Reason I ask is you may want to rethink being upfront with future employers about your being in recovery. I was the same way the first few years of recovery. Turns out, nobody really cares that I don’t drink or why. It’s built up in our heads as a bigger deal than it is. I know everyone is different, just some advice from experience.

Congrats on the sobriety.

1) Take a Barbri course -- you'll pass the bar easily.

2) Contact the JLAP program and jump through whatever hoops they require. You'll most likely get reinstated.

Edit: You might have to do 2 first before you're even approved to sit for the bar again.

2016. Maybe you’re right. I’ll take that under advisement.

It’s not a knock on you either so don’t take it that way. Just something to think about. My experiences can be totally different from yours.

Those weren’t really around much back then, but I got hooked on them later. That’s one of the habits I kicked in 2016.

Do you have a ruthless, Type A, Killshot type personality that takes no prisoners? There are a lot of lawyers but without this skill set it seems Personal Injury is not the proper specialty.

I don’t know. I got some issues.

Not really sure...I treat my dog like royalty, but I get into road rage incidents with people

I applied for that last year and just now got the rejection e-mail.

I think the job description entailed interviewing new clients and going over the initial paperwork

Sorry. Good luck in your search.

I’d work for Gordon just to have a shot at that lil secretary who just past the bar and made the news.

Gordon was too busy hanging with John Bel at the governor's mansion to review your application.

Best of luck to you, Clean. Seems like you are truly on the right end of recovery and have been for quite some time. Hope you are able to get back on your feet

Yes, was disbarred a long time ago. Still the same guy, too smart for his own good. Doesn't know when to back off or keep his mouth shut and it eventually bit him in the arse. But that hasn't stopped him he is still fighting the powers that be.

You don’t really need to be a type A personality to pull in $100k at a firm like Gordon. Just grind out a ton of policy limit cases while dealing with morons, assholes, and liars (typically your clients, but also the adjusters).
