Does anyone have a solution to gophers in my backyard? My dogs are digging up the yard trying to get to them.

The traps work and we also used to put a tube on a truck exhaust pipe and the other end in the hole and that kills them.

Wasn't there a TD dog thread where a guy posted his aussie shepherd that dug up the entire yard and posed proudly after?

if a gopher gets in my fenced backyard he’s fricked. my dog is on him.
i have a 2 acre front yard. gophers are out of control. i’ve tried traps, pellets, even sat in the yard with a .22 waiting for them to pop up.
i’m told if you get rid of grubs you’ll kill their food supply and the move on.
good luck

Provided you live where you can discharge a gun in your yard, do this:
Starting about an hour before sundown, quietly walk your yard with a shotgun.
Look for dirt being tossed or a mound with an open hole. (An open hole means it is working. They plug the hole when finished.)
Hold shotgun pointed at the open hole and wait for it to bring up another load of dirt.
Pull the trigger.
This is not a joke post. I had a terrible gopher problem last year and completely eliminated them doing the above.

You're using the wrong kind of dog. Get one of these rodent murdering machines.
They're also great lapdogs.

Did she have any rodents on her lap?
I rest my case.

Cats can get them as well.
I killed most of mine using the technique I posted above.
I have an outside murderer cat that would walk the yard with me when I was trying to shoot them. The last one kept evading me and my cat killed it and left it for me in front of my chair on the front porch.
