Researchers at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis have shown that it is possible to use human stem cells to functionally cure diabetes in mice in just a couple of weeks. The treatment kept the disease at bay for at least nine months and up to more than a year in some mice.

This is why our healthcare costs are skyrocketing. We keep saving idiots from themselves. Instead of people actually living a healthy lifestyle, we create another pill or hormone or treatment so fatties can keep right costing us all money.

Not everyone who has diabetes is fat.

Many get it as a yute, and are stuck with those damn machines, stuck to their hip, giving them the correct injections.

Diabetes isn't just for fatties. Many normal to skinny people develop diabetes too. It runs in my family and my mawmaw was 5'-6" 120lbs and my uncle was 5'-8" 150 lbs.

The vast majority of people with diabetes have Type 2. According to the 2017 National Diabetes Statistics Report, between 90-95% of diabetes sufferers have Type 2 over Type 1.

And yes, while there are cases of Type 2 among skinny, fit people, the overwhelming majority of people with Type 2 get it from horrendous lifestyle choices.

Old news. I've been sprinkling human stem cells on my Twinkies cereal for weeks now.

First time I’ve ever seen a shoutout to my alma mater on this board. Respect.
