There's no such thing as a 'pickup line'

Just have a normal conversation and be slightly entertaining while not being a jackass

If you've seen the Kingsman the observational type line that Exie uses is always solid. It's non threatening and just opens up the lines of conversation. At the gym maybe something like hey you've got the new (insert name of workout shoe here) how do you like them.

I see.

Yea I was never a fan of interrupting them so I can make an entry. I had 1 buddy that would do that and it's a high risk move imo. He didn't give a shite and didn't think anything of it though.

This was a guy that asked my previous gf for her phone number right before I was about to. No shame in his game

It says everything that you would compare your searching for poon with a wrestler.

like i said i won't do that with people i KNOW (male or female)

i actually was told once by somebody i went to HS with that he thought i was arrogant b/c i didn't go say hi to people and all that. like he said it makes people feel that i'm saying i'm too good for them or something. i tried to explain what i really think/do but he took it as me trying to get out of the criticism

Wear an American flag tank and/or shorts and say this in a confident, joking way:
"On a scale of 1 to 'Merica, how free are you tonight?"

Maybe it's just the girls I've known but I've never met one who said they like pick up lines. All I can ever remember hearing is to "just be yourself". If yourself is a casual pick up line as in ice breaker then it doesn't really matter what you say.

I've found that being honest and saying something like "I really hate pick up lines because there is no way to avoid the cheeseball factor but my name is ________ and if you're got some time I'd like to buy you a drink and talk a little while."

First question was always..."So, are you single? Who are you here with?". It immediately eliminates the friend zone and lets them know my intentions were to not just be bestie bests.

I had a good friend of mine tell me a few years ago something along the same lines. He said he was always hesitant to talk to me when we were all out because he thought I didn't give a shite and was too confident.

I thought it was ridiculous but it was what he thought. Now when I see him I can tell him whatever and we talk like it's nothing.

I mean, you can't be too pushy from the jump but she needs to know you're hitting on her, not just being nice. As obvious as it may seem, it's amazing how many don't know the difference.

well if i'm like in a group idgaf

i mean like running into people out. i don't even say hi if i'm not 100% sure it's that person. i figure if they give a shite they'll come say hi to me and if saying hi to me was that important to them, they'd do it

same shite with people i don't know. if they're doing something, i figure they're invested in that and it would be rude to interrupt

The bolded part is fine by itself. You telling them you aren't using a pickup line is basically using a pickup line

oh i know

i just have shown a magical ability in my past to swing that shite around

i know why it happens and it doesn't happen that often, but due to my nature it's always a risk
