This is the best plan. The roads and space are already there they just need to be better linked and upgraded.

Is the sticking point really the price tag?
Legit question. $400 million seems about right. Gotta know it's going to eventually go over that number. Youd think the voters of BR would pay anything to put a dent in traffic

Why do people keep putting this out like it’s a possibility. Nobody wants to buy a road for Louisiana. Just okay the tax and build the road or don’t okay the tax and continue to have traffic woes.

If they do build it--which I highly doubt--the politicians will squander the money to some stupid shite like state trooper pay raises and it becomes as neglected as most of our other roads.
The capital is a fine example. No preventative maintenance. Just let it fall to pieces and we will worry with that when it starts crumbling. And still never fix it because we need a $1.5 million park in BFE.

Yep...that’s why I will NEVER vote yes for a tax. The capital is literally crumbling down, but we continue to fund BREC and CATS, which I still never see more than a few riders on the buses. BR is like that family with a pos rundown house and pos rundown car that has $15K worth of rims and stereo equipment.

And if a private builder does fork over the cash to build it do you honestly think it will ever be paid for with the money it produces thru a "toll"?
Nope! They will slap another tax on you under a label that will mask its true intentions. Just like most taxes do from the local parish police jury to the local municipalities to the state.

Yeah, and I'm sure a few more politicians are about to strike while the iron is hot and claim they will fix it as well. Not sure how anyone still buys their bullshite It's all grandstanding at this point and nobody actually has any plans to do shite about it

It took over 3 years for Essen lane to be widened to 4 lanes from start to finish. You would have to be a fricking delusional to think a loop for Baton Rouge could be built in 5 years
