It's New York....... I think you will have no problems finding things to do.

Take in a Broadway play
The time I went the wait for the Statue of Liberty is not worth it, I saw it from a distance and left
Top of Empire State Building for view
9/11 Memorial
Times Square to take in and walk around
Central Park, find somewhere to grab a bite to eat
Too many restaurants to even comment on, but grab a sandwich somewhere
Some of better dining places are in the areas outside all the hustle and bustle

Hard to say. It's such a small city with so little to see.
Check out as many clubs/bars as you can. They have some amazing places there.

See what's being featured at MOMA. Spend half a day there then take a walk in CP.

Come to my apartment and clean it.

Sit in a subway and ask for money. See how much you make in three days

get an unlimited MetroCard first and foremost. Wear sneakers and encourage your SO to do the same. LOTS of walking, blisters will happen.
9/11 memorial is a MUST. Empire State building is cool too but Freedom tower might have an observation deck too.
Check Groupon for discounts on boat/air tours. An evening boat tour of Lower Manhatten is GORGEOUS.
Groupon also has discounts on shuttles from airports to Midtown.
If you have a SO going with you, take her to see Wicked.
Central Park this time of year is amazing and is a great place to picnic. Grab a sammich from a deli and go.
The Museum of Modern Art features Van Gogh's Starry Night as well as other great works of Art.
Rockefeller Center and St. Patricks Cathedral are good places to hit while window shopping with a SO on Fifth Avenue.
Subways and Uber are your friends

This is very sage advice. I've made that mistake a couple of times only to nearly faint from the smell or the sight of something unseemly.
