Need more than one to unite. Unless you split him in half first.

Do you want to flight the ball higher? Do you even know anything about your game?

If you're just starting out. Find whatever you can for cheap. Get things that are forgiving and easy to hit. Work on your swing for a while. Get better around the greens. Once you start hitting below 90-95 consistently, get fitted for irons. You don't have to buy a new set or any that are less forgiving, but it will help you a ton. Start breaking 90 and get fitted for a driver. Again, used is fine. You dont need one with bells and whistles either. During this time you can work out what 14 clubs you like. Draw bias. Degrees. Manufacturers. Grips.

All this to say that it's a process. And even this one may not work best for your situation.

16.5 is a pretty high loft for a 3 wood, mine is 15 degrees. but it really just depends on your game, the club is a solid club. Do you have a 3 wood currently? hit it well? whats the loft on it? if you dont have a 3 wood and your highest club is an iron then you should probably get one. if you have a hybrid though, check the loft on it, if its a low lofted hybrid it may give you similar distance to a 16.5 degree 3 wood.

Currently I do not have a 3 wood. I have been playing consistently for the past two months and have noticed my 10.5 loft driver get the ball wayyyy up there. I just purchased a 4 hybrid, so is a 3 wood still needed? My score ranges from 96-106 right now. Thanks again.

Your 4 hybrid is probably 21-23 degrees. I'd say a 16.5 3 wood would fit that gap fine, as long as you're comfortable hitting it.

The Aeroburner driver I've hit had a pretty high launch on the shaft. If the woods have the same launch as the drivers, 16.5 is going to get the ball way up in the air. It's going to depend on your swing.

I like a mid launch on my woods as I have a tendency to hit flat shots off the tee. Just got a new 915D3 and it is . I'm looking hard at picking up the 3W too, but I've got an old square head Sasquach that I freaking love. You can't shape shots for shite with it, but I hit it tee or fairway and the ball gets up and just goes.

Call it a 3 wood all you want, but that is a 4 wood. Doesn't make it good or bad, just is what it is.
