I tried this and it was a disaster.

Contemplating left hand low though.

where are you playing?

As far back on the back tee box as they allow me.

what kind of balls have you been playing lately?

It's hard to tell because I never touch it unless I am teeing it up or marking it on the green.

what are you working on right now?

I'm trying to do this with each swing:

Stand behind the ball and pick an object along the line from your ball to the pin that is about 3 feet in front of the ball. This will help you to line up the shot properly.

Address the ball by resting the clubhead behind the ball, so the face of the club is pointed at the object along the target line.

Grip the club firmly enough so it will not slip but not so tight that you are straining to hold on.

Align your feet, hips and shoulders parallel to the target line, and relax your legs slightly so that there is a distance approximately as long as two fists from the end of the grip to your belt buckle.

Turn your shoulders and hips about your spine, so the club comes back and is cocked over your head, pointing down the target line at the top of the swing.

Pivot your shoulders and hips forward while shifting your weight toward your front foot, as the club comes forward.

Swing the club on an angled trajectory, not horizontal and not vertical, and snap through the point of impact with your wrists to add extra pace to your clubhead at the point of impact. The club should travel back down with your arms the same distance from your body as in the takeaway. Allowing your hands to get farther away from you will cause you to hit the ball with the hosel, where the head meets the shaft, leading to an inaccurate shank.

Follow through the swing after contact, with your weight shifting to your lead foot, your hips turning toward the target and your shoulders turned so that your chest is pointed down the target line

But it's legal in the other 7 states according to Obama.

May take a chance and play Friday at either Audubon or Sandos before the baseball game. Not sure the shoulder will hold up for 18, all that nitro and torque I have.

Columbia SC here, I'm playing Northwoods on Saturday with my brothers and Linrick on Sunday with some friends. Both are munis with challenging layouts, lots of water in play at both courses.

I'm not a big proponent of any specific kind of ball, I just try to stay even in the ball count department

Right now I'm thinking of getting a new set of irons, not brand new but about 3 years old. I've seen ads for a set of 3 year-old Taylormade Rocketbladez for $300, might be too good to pass up.

And yeah, looking forward to some 60-70 degree weather this weekend

Beaver Friday and TPC Saturday

Been playing prov1, zstars and super soft. Haven't settled on a ball for this year yet.

Need to work on consistency. I'm good at everything, just never at the same time.

If price is big for you, got a set of Mizuno JPX 825's brand new for just $399. Solid set with enough "forgiveness" in the swing/ball impact.
LINK
the link says not available. just wanted to send you the specs if interested

Snoopy thanks for the recommendation, I'll have to check those out when I go shopping for irons. I'm about a 20 handicap so these would definitely be a good fit for me.

About to get yelled at on the range at the bluffs. about to turn this range into a damn launchpad..
Hitting slazenger straight raw because they're pretty good and cheap AF.
Working on rhythm and tempo along with putting and just staying relaxed and getting a pre shot routine.

Playing somewhere tomorrow and Friday, either beaver or the island with some hackers from work.

Fell in love with Carter?

Not sure I'll get to play this weekend. LSU baseball and leaving for Houston Sunday.

Playing Snell My Tour Ball. It's legit.

Working on keeping my drives straight. Might get fit for a driver soon to help.

Going to Mystic Creek in El Dorado Friday. Never been, but I've heard it's extremely tough. Group from Am Tour went with mostly 5-9 handicaps and the lowest score was an 88.

Playing Duo Urethane and I love them so far. Working on putting because that's what I'm always working on.

I agree. It's my favorite local place to play. Good price. Good condition. Hardly ever slow play.
