Golf Clubs, what is a decent brand that is moderately priced?

I haven't owned a set of clubs since my parents bought me some in high school, so needless to say I need something updated. However, not looking to pay a fortune either. Maybe something reasonably priced (300-500 for a set is good right) since I live a few miles from a golf course and need something to do during the day.

I was going to suggest Callaway for a budget set. Their products aren't bad regardless of price in my experience.
I've also bought used Titleist many times, never any issues.

Full set or irons?
Can easily get a brand new set of a year or two old models for less than $500 (irons + driver and putter). If you want hybrids or woods to start, gonna be a little more.
Lots of websites to find discount clubs. I've also ordered preowned from Callaway and Edwin Watts.

Go get fitted, then buy them on eBay used. You can get quality clubs that are very lightly used or sometime brand new.

Don't buy new unless you're going to get fitted for the clubs, and generally its hard to get a proper fit if you don't play a lot.
Buy second hand. You'll get much higher quality in that general price range. For 400-500, you should be able to get a set that is a couple of years old, that retailed for over $1,000 new. Drop an extra $50-$60 on new grips and you're good to go.

Hard to beat the Calloway pre-owned site. I've bought several and have always been impressed with their grading system. The clubs have been better than expected every time.

Globalgolf.com has 14% off all used clubs right now. Have bought from them plenty of times and have never been disappointed. Just don't go below very good

Or buy then get them bent, either way. Definitely need to be fitted.
Callawaypreowned.com is where its at for what you're looking for, globalgolf.com works, but IMO callaway's site is better quality.

I haven't tried them, but I have never had a bad set from Callaway. All my problems with golf are in spite of my clubs.
