Ruston is a wonderful, quiet, safe, cute little town.
No crime. No traffic. Nice people.

Lincoln Parish Park has a darned good 10 mile mountain bike trail, plus picnic areas, a short walking trail, and a fishing and swimming hole.

But for real the Lincoln Parish Park is awesome, biking/walking/camping.
Sundown is the place locals gather to drink beer and eat, I've gotten hammered in their over 100 times easily. I know the grouchy owner Bruce pretty well.

Ruston is one of the better towns in LA.

It's not a great city to visit or for tourism.
But it is a great small city/town to live in. Good schools, not bad in crime, clean, alot of small local business and local amenities. Also one of the higher income per capita towns in Louisiana.

Ruston has quite a few non chain restaurants that are good, especially for its size town.
