Don Carter’s was so much fun
They had a wrass'lin game that I must have deposited rolls and rolls of quarters in over the course of a couple nights in a weekend.
Ended up getting really good at it.

I used to take my boys there to bowl back in the day.

Don Carter’s had a good bar inside too with cheap bear. I forget the name of the bar but it was inside and you would walk to the right when you walk in.

I haven't been to Don Carter's in years. What's it like today?
Still the same? Or has the place undergone a renovation?

I was too busy trying to bury my hand in some nasty arse Belaire or Tara poon back then to worry about that game. Ya big dork.

It's still open. We took the kids to Bowl Thanksgiving night for annual Turkey Bowl. It's not cheap as it used to be.

I was actually at Don Carter's today.
Probably the first time in 25-30 years since I've set foot in the place.
It was more a worn 70's look when I was a kid. It still looks worn, but more circa 2000 worn. I suppose it's been that long since it was last renovated.
The lanes are all mounted smart pad type things, and not those giant 80's consoles that I remembered. The arcade isn't as good. It's all ticket-type games with the cheapy prize counter where it takes 100 tickets to get vampire fangs.
There were probably ten birthday parties going on today, including the one I was at (for my nephew). Place was crazy busy. Looks like it is still making some $$$$.
Overall, though, it was fun.

You know how many times I had those Tara girls come up to me and say, "you carry a big stick" while playing that game?
It was a chick magnet.
I'd move away from the game, drop my puck and then hear, "what happened to your big stick?"

I blacked out on Thunderbird behind that bowling alley in 1990.

Wow, cant believe the place is still open. Remeber wearing it out in the late 80’s in high school then a few years later I remember it seemed like young veitnamese gangs starting flooding the place and we moved on to the next thing.

It’s not bad if you go in the daytime... good place to bowl with the kiddos and drink some pitchers of draft beer that will have you on the toilet about 2 hours later
