So LSU offered my kid a scholarship.
500 bucks a year. I don't know whether to cry or laugh. It is kind of an insult to be honest. What the frick do you have to do to get them to give you money based on merit? I am not sure what more she could do other than get a 36 on her ACT?

They offered mine almost double in state costs. She had well above a 4.6 and had others offering almost a full ride. She also had over 80 hours of credits from all of her AP stuff. UF offered her a little more. With Florida's version of TOPS, and applying for 50 other scholarships, she has done well.
