You might be more sensitive to heat from now on. My advice is to go camping when the weather is cooler.

Always better. Fewer bugs, snakes, sweat, etc. Heat and camping is a struggle.

Hello, Kcrad. How are things?

No doubt. But the kids love swimming and killing cicadas.

It is, it is miserable.

But the kids love and tbh as boys need it.

Things are fine, mplc. It's too damn hot to work outside today. I hope your day is going great.

It can be, for sure. I really like icing down a case or 2 of Bud light, pulling on a sundress and some pumps and strolling around the camping loop.

Very liberating.

I wish I enjoyed drinking, but only real drugs for me (and that is a no go). I envy you drinkers.

But yeah taking the golf cart around the camp sites is the only reprieve from the heat.

Im shtting on camping but the faces of the boys and nephews faces when doing things like just packing up the camping, attaching to truck is like magic to them, they are just amazed at everything. It's worth it, but this weekend was rough af.

I know the thrill you are speaking of. I urge you to go to YT and look up some outdoor skills. There are some really simple things that will wow them. Learning to tie some useful knots, making char cloth and starting a fire with a spark etc.

Some fun stuff... I'm glad you're doing this. Need more campers.

I wasn't in boy scouts. My knot game does need work.

I'm aware the last sentence can be taken multiple ways.

Neither was I. Maybe that's why some of this stuff intrigues me and I find it fun. There is a ton of stuff out there. Good variety and increasing complexity...

Best wishes with it

I'm not saying it isn't fun and rewarding.

But the heat no doubt makes it not fun at the time.

But the boys and I are both learning which makes it worth it.

To a vv trashy place, 2nd time this year at Margaritaville in bro bridge.

The kids love it because they have a huge kids pool, slide, splash pad section. We've been all over this year to other places. Nothing not trashy though.
