Get the pain down then keep taking them for a couple of weeks. You don’t have to hurt.

Take them if you need them. You don’t have to hurt.
Don’t save them till you hurt twice as much. Control your pain now and you will heal up then you won’t have pain and a need for painkillers.

Always stay ahead of the pain.
Watch for constipation. Take Colace and Miralax to avoid this.
