My buddy has a 2021 ram 1500 5.7. It’s the big horn with the air ride suspension. Very comfortable. I’m driving a 2013 Big Horn and about to replace it. Thought I was going ford but that new ram has me reconsidering

Got-DAMN that’s some OT material if I ever did see it.

I HAD a 16 Titan XD… it was the most comfortable truck to drive I’ve had to date. It was otherwise a rolling piece of crap and not at all worthy of its “XD” designation. The third time it got put on a wrecker I was done.

And as others have said; Need to know the story with getting run over by a garbage truck.

Spent 10k replacing fuel system after the fuel pump exploded. Other than that, it’s been great.
Just had this happen on my hunting partner's 2021 F-250 out in the Colorado wilderness while elk hunting. Was replaced under warranty eventually but that did not help much at the time being stranded 20 miles from cell service. Ended up having it towed 150 miles to Ford dealer in Steamboat. Would have probably been better off throwing a match to it out in the wilderness. Over a month to repair.

Dodge has the best engine, GMC/Chevy has the best transmission.........Ford is the best at being a POS.

I had a Nissan Titan with a 5.0 ISV Cummins and just not overly impressed.
Reliability just was not there.
I am retired, but still work part time at a truck shop as it keeps me busy.
Worked on Cummins for years and have some certifications.
We also see a-lot of Fords and some guys love them and some techs hate them.
I worked on the Dodge's with 6.7 Cummins and they been decent.
Easy to get parts and very common.
Working for a Cummins Certified dealer we of course see a-lot of these along with larger Cummins engines in International's and Freightliner's.
Pretty easy to work on.
Ford, the huge downfall is finding private shops that have the Ford Programs.
Most shops run Cummins insite as there are more Cummins out there.
Depends on the area you may be stuck with getting service on certain items through the Ford Dealer. Some techs complain of electrical quirks.
I changed a few fuel system on Fords and that is a job right there.
GM, I also do not see as many of them on the commercial side.

Yep, and it sucks because the Cummins/Titan combo made the best towing combo I’ve ever had. No, it did not have the capability of the 3/4 tons. But I have pulled trailers that I usually only would pull with a 3/4 ton/1ton and I felt more confident with the Titan than the others. Plus I was getting 14-15 mpg towing. If Nissan had stuck with it, it would have been a monster for people. They gave up on this option, and on the Titan altogether.

You getting nuts for the truck AND the trailer?

The ford...gas 7.3
Or the cummins in the dodge.
The reality is the 7.3 seems robust and is cheaper to run.

Too many mistakes. Pairing with cummins was foolish.
Their own V8 will pull a house. The problem is it likes to rev... And even though it'll do 300k miles revving to the moon, people are rightfully worried when they see a V8 turning 4k+ on hills.

Like my 2017 6.7 Diesel Ford. Have hauled 20K loads with little or no effort.
That wasn't little or no effort. 20k loads will be significant and noticeable for any pickup truck up through 450 levels. It can do it, but your full of shite to say with little or no effort. I have done it with equivalent vehicles as yours and some better.

Thank you! One of my biggest pet peeves is people assuming weight and drag. 20k of round bales vs 20k dozer vs 20k 5th wheel is not the same. Especially when you start pulling a lot farther than paw-in-laws

I am looking at this truck for towing a small travel trailer. These are in stock close to me where the GM 3/4 ton trucks are impossible to find.
The model I am looking has the Pro-4X trim package. Did you use premium or regular gas with this?

Wait, what?
Please explain how you got ran over by a slow moving, frequently stopping trash truck. We need more info.
