This is not a value statement but rather a statement of fact; Huge income inequality destabilizes societies.

This board will never accept that fact.

Pay for the working class has stagnated for over 40 years while exec pay has increased by exponential factors.

It's completely unsustainable, and the future will involve a guillotine if changes aren't made.

Managing a Fortune 500 company and ensuring its profitability for shareholders while maintaining compliance with countless regulations, dealing with PR, marketing, lawsuits, etc is a bit more complicated than an assembly line worker mounting a tire on new vehicles 5 days a week

No, what destabilizes societies is not prosecuting criminals, making excuses for their behavior and justifying it

A lot of things destabilize a society. Feminism destabilized The West. The discovery of fabulist new genders destabilizes a country. Inflation. Wars. Boy bands.

Income inequality does too. I'm not suggesting there is a "problem to fix". The "solution" to the problem (The dark hand of The State) is infinitely worse than the problem. I'm just cognizant of history, political systems and human psychology. When too many people begin to covet what is not theirs, mass murder can ensue. See French Revolution. See Venezuela. See Cuba.

They have numerous people helping them with that.

They have even more people helping with that.

Look, it's not complicated. If you can afford to give your exec a 300% increase in pay over a decade, you can afford to increase employees wages at a rate that keeps up with inflation.

Sure, buddy. There's absolutely no problem with holding down the wages of the working class, because that's never resulted in any kind of uprising throughout the course of human history.

I must be an idiot for thinking that.

When you have the ability to go out and get a better paying job, you're not being held down, you're making a choice.

Is the problem. Not...

Income inequality
Too many people think the amount of money is fixed. Nothing of the sort.

One person's wealth, doesn't prevent another's. If you're smart, rich people are an opportunity. When I wanted to grow my business... I didn't go looking for middle-class autoworkers to invest.

And it's never been easier nor cheaper to better one's self via education or available markets in the history of man than now.

What will happen is the lower income will riot and kill all of these CEOs. It won’t help any but that’s what this road is leading to. Many here might weep for the poor billionaires but personally I won’t care lol. They didn’t deserve it but they could have prevented it too

Figure out how to incentive small businesses and we as an American people need to stop support these greedy mega corporations. Really that’s the only solution that would work. Of course the chances of that happening is probably about the same as an all out commie revolution lol

I will take this job for 1 year, 29 million, and then they can fire me off into the sun for all I care

People seem to think that being "average" and mediocre should lead to a luxurious life. It's all envy based.
