know this will get downvoted to hell, as it is a very unpopular opinion on here, but I think that some form of socialism or communism would be much better than our current capitalistic system.

Because you're wrong. It's never worked

That was my first thought. Now, it is time for them to come back home, apologize to the American worker, and start turning out those high quality Chevettes again.

On a side note, did they ever apologize to the American consumer for those Chevettes?

Well it is kind of hard to do it "correctly" when pretty much the rest of the world tries to stop any nation that is even close to true communism/socialism.

Just. Stop.

I don't deny that it's failed in the past, but there were other factors at work besides just "hurr durr, communism is bad"

Zero chance you're not trolling us

One type of collectivism has been shown to have sustainable, decent results - social democracy in homogeneous, relatively small, countries. And the jury is still largely out on this.

Other collectivism has only been sustainable if you're willing to oppress the shite out of people with authoritarian governance, and even those examples end with moves toward capitalism and often, a bunch of innocent people dying.

Root of the problem is the Auto Workers Union. They caused all of this shite in the first place. Factories wouldn't be in Venezuela if they would just fade into history.

Well, can't say I expected any different from Tiger Droppings.

All these replies are what I get for posting leftist views on a predominately right wing message board

Instead of replying to all of you, the one suggestion that I can give is actually do some of your own research into what socialism/communism really is instead of just parroting all of the red scare bullshite you've been fed your entire lives.

Up until FatBoy started threatening to use nukes, pretty much the whole world left NK alone for decades. What a wonderful workers paradise that place turned out to be! Well we left them alone except for ya know, sending them aid because the people were starving to death.

frick you and every person who thinks communism/socialism is a "good idea". Just by having those thoughts you have the blood of millions on your hand.

Venezuela needs to kill more of its citizens until they learn to love it. I'm right there with you, comrade.
