I did, too, in their time... but their music really didn't age well.
See, I believe the complete opposite. I thought that in the last 20 years, their sound and music was better than ever. And it never got old. It never sounded dated. I thought it really stood the test of time.
Might just be that I was a huge fan. They were probably my favorite. And I really didn't like some of their obvious hits nearly as much as some of their unknown stuff, and even their later tracks.

Seems like a guy with 62,000 posts would know how to work this reply shite.
I do know how to work this reply shite, and YOU, too, included Lemmy on YOUR list as #1.

Sorry, but Lemmy was not up there on the same rung of the fame ladder as David Bowie.
I don't think anyone is debating that.
What also isn't up for debate, unless you're an idiot, is the impact that Lemmy had on music. I know you consider yourself to be an intellectual, so maybe you should read-up on the subject matter before throwing out baseless opinions?

This would be a very boring world if we all thought alike.

You're mighty free with that word.

Well, I listed them in order of their death, you moron.

There is no 1, 2, and 3 right now for 2016. There's only 1... David Bowie.

There's a difference between thinking alike and being willfully ignorant.

What are some of the bands you like whose music you feel has not gotten dated?
Posted on 1/18/16 at 4:48 pm to brbengalgal
Frick. I never got to see them. Saw the Netflix special a while back. Really enjoyed learning more about them. I just listened to a few of their CDs the other night, and I thought about how good the Eagles sound was. RIP Glenn.
Oh, and BTW, frick you Rex

I'm the fricking Angel of music death. Stared with listening to Young Americans only a few hours before the news of Bowie's death
And then I've been on a HUGE Eagles listening binge since watching the Eagles documentary on Netflix two weeks ago. Been jamming to them every day and even blasting the Long Run this morning
You mind firing up some Bieber. TIA

Here's the deal with Lemmy. You, as a fan of heavy metal, with maybe some arcane understanding of its history, might consider him some sort of giant. But most people DON'T LIKE heavy metal, which means the great majority of people have no familiarity with him.

Hmmmm...yeah, I can get on board with that. Moreso Pink Floyd.
Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles are 2 that I feel like that about.
And Live at Daryl's House on Paladium is one of the best show's on TV. Talk about a dude that's gotten better with time.
