A civilization of concerned aliens from a planet in a neighboring solar system grew tired of humans destroying a viable life sustaining planet with their carbon footprints and so created the virus in an attempt to keep people at home and save the planet from the humans.
Alec Baldwin to star as the high browed alien representative who knows what’s best for the unsuspecting earthlings, who’s sent to deliver warnings to the people of the planet earth who remain completely oblivious to the harmful effects they are having on the planet. Meryl Streep plays the part of “Mintatua” the leader of the alien planet

The world elite want to return to serfdom by destroying the economy and making people reliant upon non elected multinational organizations that grow ever more powerful.
They release the virus and push media members to repot worst case scenarios non-stop driving panic and hysteria causing most people to voluntarily give them more and more power over the every day lives.
They purposefully don’t release a virus that is too deadly in case any of them catch it.
Eventually the world economy is in such shambles that it is “Bailed out” by these elite similar to Rockefeller writing a check to pay the US’s debt. Now the elite openly own the world and make the rules, but there is one group of pepper that give the NWO the middle finger and it’s all the enlisted and NCO military men that stage a new “Red Dawn” that results in a reset of global politics as more and more people wake up and hate the NWO leaders every day.

This isn't a conspiracy, but real-life events. Russia, Saudi Arabia, and China launched an all-out assault against the US. Russia and Saudi flooded the market with oil to cripple our economy. China produced and released Covid-19 to shut us down and spread mass hysteria. I'm not sure to what extent, but I believe the Deep State is involved as well. I'm not sure if the plan is to take down Trump, or to take down the entire country. So far, they're winning.

It helps? I'm not sure you understand how much of our economy is tied to oil and gas. $20 per barrel oil is terrible for everybody.

China and its allies unleash a biological attack across the globe to soften the infrastructure and defenses of its enemies. This was only step 1 of the attack.
After being digitally connected to US systems and analyzing the data, they realized the US military's response would be to go to minimum manning and essentially stop all movement throughout the world. This provided an excellent opportunity to strike when the guard is down.
Phase 2 of the attack was to have sleeper cells do simultaneous strikes (VBIEDs, rocket attacks, etc.) against numerous US installations... specifically focusing on logistics/supply chain hubs.
Simultaneously, China launches cyber attacks knowing the many communication squadrons and units are operating from home via telework which offers an excellent opportunity to strike when our capabilities are lowered.
With our ability to keep the supply chain going greatly minimized, and with our comm systems ineffective, China and its allies move to Phase 3... all out war.

A monkey is patient zero but also has the cure. Dustin Hoffman is cast in the leading role to fight the overbearing military presence to find this cure and save humanity. He will deal with the infection hitting those he loves most. He will try his best to convince the military to avoid nuclear war.
