This has always annoyed me. The state can just decide at will when to charge a minor has an adult? A 14 year old, in this case, is being charged as if she was 18.
That makes no sense. It's like we don't really have set rules...if a person isn't considered an adult until they're 18, then they're not an adult until they're that age.

You're saying that the 14 wanted to be treated like an adult, so she should be charged as an 18 year old?
You really want the state deciding when and when not to apply their own rules to stuff? The state already decided that you're a minor until you reach 18 years of age. But we shouldn't care that they can charge 14 year olds with adult crimes?

The hood rats doing the “I do what I want! I run with 12 gangs!” bullshite think they are too old to be parented.
Not like it was a fricking accident either since she had previously attempted to kill her.
It’s one thing to say a kid was confused, did it in the heat of the moment, etc.
When you have a clearly premeditated murder, then you have someone who doesn’t deserve the benefit of a stint in juvie and a sealed record at 18.

Trust me, I'm not arguing against any of this...I'm not siding with the 14 on anything.
I'm only talking about the law and the way it's applied.

So you believe ANY case of premeditated murder, regardless of age, should be tried in criminal court. If yes, that's fair...but I don't want it enforced until we have a law stating and defining that.
