No

But this didn’t occur in Louisiana nor am I a Louisiana resident anymore.

But I do have a problem when someone posts something that’s factually true and they get fired over it. Regardless if it’s work related or not

It's obvious that you don't understand.

Say the same exact thing as someone else, but direct it towards a "preferred" idea or group, and your consequences are different. People like you may be cool with that, but at least recognize it so we know you understand the point and aren't just battling straw men.

I'm so tired of this being the cop out. We all get it. We want consistency. None of us are holding our collective breath for that, but that is the issue.

You seem to be in favor of firing those who express opinions you disagree with.

Me and a thousand of my friends are going to contact your employer and get you fired for this abhorrent view.

Don't like it? Maybe don't express views I don't like and you won't face repercussions.

Don’t see the problem ... don’t like her firing, don’t support Disney.

you are ignoring the collusion and discrimination.

I wonder what would happen if a large corporation like Disney would have the balls to fire a minority employee for something similar. Trying to imagine how that would go.

Not Necessarily...depends on what's in the contract. I doubt very much it says you can be fired based on posting you political views on social media.

Can you imagine starting a business and having one of your employees consistently post opinions on social media and organize/attend rallies all criticizing the white man and claiming he is what’s wrong with society? Even compare the modern white man to Nazis

And all the while you can’t fire him. Instead you have to keep him on the payroll.

Exactly. If you say something someone dislikes and they ruin your life--it's really your fault for speaking out. Kinda like how if a lady wears a short cut skirt, she's really asking to be raped.

Good grief.

She didn't do a goddamned thing wrong.

Hopefully she sues and wins. You soft types need putting back in your place.

Ah, the classic progressive retort

There is a clear case of one side being free of consequences from the same exact language where the other is not. Stop living under the delusion that this is just about repercussions of speech.

It's fascinating to watch lefties praise multinational corporations do the work of destroying people for having the wrong opinion even though they want the government to have the power to do it

You quoted a guy arguing something that no one takes issue with as long as it is applied consistently. The consistency of the application is the issue.

This could be a thing if she said anything remotely provocative, or controversial, or even opinionated. She didn't.

No it's deeper than that. If this were a one-off thing, I'd agree with you. But it's not. There is clearly and obviously a coordinated effort across the mass media to silence one particular view.

That's not the same as an employer firing someone for being a loud-mouth. Or just being mad the hypocrisy on display.
