Legos, especially Friends or Elves sets.

My daughter is 9.
$50 would get you one of the good Lego Elves or Lego Friends sets if she is into that.
Assorted arts and crafts and slime making materials.
Mine still loves dressing and playing with her barbies.
If she has/likes the expensive American Girl products, you could get 1 outfit for $50. (It's pretty ridiculous)
Boots and/or shoes
