Guess you didn’t read the part about this being a new issue with gigantic rats taking the city over, the issues with the sanitation department... not too mention the tax base (to help pay for sanitation and pest/animal control) leaving because of Cuomo and Deblasio.

Seriously. How hard would it be? Shooting rats sounds like total fun. But that mayor is probably afraid of pellet guns.

I work at a grain elevator and let me say the rats there are made of fricking nightmares.

What are they complaining about? When another shutdown finishes tanking that city, they have a built in food supply.

First thing that crossed my mind. I know some rice farmers that have the means to get that under control really quick. Just give them a plane ticket and a ice chest filled with bud light.

Talking about the rats just glosses over the real issue(though mentioned in the article), the trash they have lining the sidewalks. The rats are just coming above ground more commonly because it's flush with food. Rats don't get that fricking big overnight. They've been there a while. Just out of sight for the most part.

I remember reading some articles during the height of the "shutdown" about how rats were coming out of hiding in search of food, and because people were no longer out and about, the rats had started taking over everywhere. Several cities were having major rat issues, I think New Orleans and the French Quarter was one of them.
