Maybe I’m weather stupid but that sounds really cold to me.

Negatives fricking suck. Even layered, you start getting down toward -10 and it's like the cold air finds a way through any air gap. Not that I have a ton of experience being that cold.

78 here tomorrow. 58 now but is dropping to 54. Brrrr!

Does your medication cancel the ability to have a good, hot alcoholic drink?

We haven’t had a single bit of snow yet this season. I feel like people are getting anxious because they know we are due.

Snow is hideous. And the reason why seasonal depression is a thing

I hate 5 month summers with 108 heat indexes more than snow. Different strokes I guess.

I thought MO was the meth capitol. If you guys get into that much snow with the South American cartels stand by and watch?

I'm with you on that. I am so tired of endless summers. I'm ready to go somewhere where I can have a real winter every year.

That's crazy. We are low for the year but have had around 3'.

Average around 90" a year

Why would you voluntarily live somewhere with that sort of winter weather. That's ridiculous, man.

Why do people live where the heat index is over 100 for much of the summer?

Another fair question.

I prefer warmer climates but just don't get people voluntarily living in extreme environments, be it hot, cold, wet, dry, etc.

You mentioned your area 20s-30s, which is perfectly tolerable and warmer temps than I'd expect to find in Alaska. But -26? Hell no.

Most people live where the temps are pretty moderate. The interior of Ak where the warmer coastal air is blocked by mountain ranges get the crazy cold but the population is low

I haven't seen it below zero in years. Single digits are not that common here either. We are usually 10-15 degrees colder in winter than Seattle

Well, there's plenty to do year around here, and winter is awesome.

You need more muscle mass, people without it aren't tolerant to the cold.

No. I've been to Alaska. It has more suucides and mental disorders per capital than anywhere else in the country

It's cold and gray nearly all the time.

I'll chug a beer off the first tee tomorrow and think of you and pray I'll never do anything as stupid as move to that type of climate

Well, at least we know how to spell up here..

Saying you've been to Alaska is about like saying you've been to California. It's so varied, no two places are the same.
