I've been looking too. The animal rights activists on there are hilarious.

How often do people take in free mutt puppies to train their pit fighters, honestly? I'd really like to know.

The activists get mad and then the "looking to sell/give away" people get mad because the activists report them. Seems like a vicious cycle.

Just be careful. There are tons of people on there that require "deposits" and once they have your money you will never hear from them again.

I guess it's like buying a car. Get it checked by the vet before you accept it?

I got mine on there a year ago and it's been great!

SPCA Foster Mom in Metairie listed her and I saw / adopted her. Win/Win

I bought a chameleon off there once. They said they would ship it to me over night. Got it the next day and it was just a regular green yard lizard...

DO NOT DO THIS!

People pass off too many sick and diseased animals on Craigslist! Go to your local shelter and adopt!

Here in Vegas, one guy was selling puppies infected with distemper. We had to treat and eventually euthanize one of them. Use caution!

I got my golden retriever on there for $100. The guy selling him just didn't have room for him. He was six months old when we got him. He's three now and has been the best dog we've ever owned. $100 for an AKC golden retriever is a hell of a deal.

Got my chocolate lab off there for free. Some lady in Hammond picked up a stray and she ended up having puppies so she gave the puppies away for free. Be careful like others said, the puppy we picked ended up having worms, but after that she has been a great dog.

My daughter did this. Cute little 25lb girl and a smart dog. The people had a baby and just couldn't take care of a young dog. She did this without me knowing or I would have gone with her. She's 20 and probably shouldn't have gone to a strangers home and that scared the crap out of me

Oh, and no way are any of you getting pics.

I got my schnauzer (free) on there. He was 4 months old and very well trained. The family was moving and couldn't take him for whatever reason. He is healthy and a very good dog. He is almost 3 years old now.
