Will Cover,

I drive about 70k a year. While they may not expect any issues, they can and will happen. When a service light comes on, and one will before you hit 50k, warranty will cover it.

Also, you can negotiate with the dealer on service. I had 20% off all service and parts at BMW and Audi when I got over 100k (I usually traded them shortly after that though). I always buy the warranty out to 100k--I PROMISE--it will pay for itself.

I have a bit of experience with this...I bought them new from the dealer and I ran over 100k on almost all of them...

2010 M5
2012 A7
2013 S7
2014 RS7
2015 911 Carrera S

FWIW...

You can also purchase extended AudiCare after the initial AudiCare expires.

Wish I had wheel protection. I have the 21" Audi wheels and curbed one badly parking in D.C.

I just gave up on repairing scuffed wheels

Every time I would have it brushed out, another curb rash would appear a month later!

BTW--you see the RS7 Plus for 2017? 605 HP and a pretty neatly lighted interior...

I haven't but I need to. Rumor is that there will be an RSQ5 coming out.

How are you liking the 911? There are days when I miss being a Porsche driver.

Most of these mechanics have their own tools at home. For my BMW, I would take it to his house and he would fix it. I paid less and he got more since dealership only paid him $20/hr

Yes, if it's not a diesel Audi Care is 849 plus tax, if it's a diesel, then it's 1169 plus tax

Good for 5 years and covers up to 45000 miles of service.

Love it...it is a beast!!

Funny thing is I was worried about running miles on it--a few Porsche heads told me it was built for it--so I took a chance and went for it...not a single issue after 30k. It truly is a car meant to be driven hard.

It is also insanely fast and powerful from 4000-8000rpm--naturally aspirated 3.8L 400hp with chrono package and all the engine/chassis performance packages as well.

It is also a lot more comfortable than I expected it to be, even on longer drives. Leaving the pack of cars in the dust on a highway never gets old in this thing!

Of all the German cars I've had though, Audi still wins the infotainment contest--MMI is still the best, IMO, but I am getting adjusted to the Porsche system (the Sirius doesn't have song preview when you stop on the channel--only way to hear what is playing is to actually tune into that station--first word problems, I know...but when you get used to having it and then don't...well).

I've been using wedge kyes on airline for the last 5 years or so for service on my BMW. They know what they're doing. Still pricey but that's just part of having a German car. They use genuine parts.

I believe the Q5 is getting the overhaul this upcoming year. The all new Q7 FINALLY hit the showroom in February of this year looong overdue--almost 10 years for the former body style. Rumor is they had a new one ready to go, but didn't like, so they went back to square 1.

If so, the SQ5 will follow about 8-12 months after the initial Q5 release, and the RSQ5 the year after that. It is coming, but I would gander it to be late 2019 or thereabouts.

It will have close to 500hp, and in a car that size, will be a blast!

Look for a base sticker around $90k...$100-105 nicely equipped.

MMI drives me up a wall sometimes... Hate that when connected to Bluetooth - I can't get any audio notifications on my phone, and maps on my phone are useless since I get no audio. Also hate that the plug-in is in the glovebox, and not somewhere in the center console.

I've been trying to talk my wife into trading in the S6 fir an S8 Plus. I'd love the extra power. I know it won't handle the same but it would be a great ride for sure.

I have the wheel coverage too. It has been totally worth it. I've gotten wheels touched up at least 3 or 4 times. Rim Pros is right across from Brian Harris and they seem to do pretty good work.

I'm a big time Brian Harris disliker if that's what you are looking for...if wedge kyes does Audi take it there. Otherwise ugh.

They should be getting an oil change halfway between the recommended service. They can do this at certified indepedents, and not void warranty.

Engine lasts much longer.

Same here. I had an absolutely horrible experience with them once. Swore that if I ever bought another Audi while in BR - I would head to NO.

I've had pretty good luck with Brian Harris, but my neighbor hates them. He swears by the dealership in Lafayette.
