Mike Brown -- several thousand minutes of CNN coverage, hundreds of articles written.
Perma-disfigured toddler -- two stories written on CNN, I saw zero discourse on any national program.
Both stories set against the backdrop of para-military police tactics.

This happened in May. Multiple update articles from various MSM outlets written throughout the year. The last major sourse is a story from ABC news in December. LINK
It's not getting the same type of media attention because there aren't riots in the streets to be filmed.
Do you not know how the media works?
That's really dodging the point. It all fits into a larger discussion with police tactics in this country. Some people just want to throw in the race card without actually looking at how we got to where we are today.

I am very critical of police, but you sir are a well spoken officer who seems to know his stuff and I hope police departments stack their force with more people like you!

You're right, this story was all over -- I bet if you polled America, a good three percent heard about it.

I don't care what the geographical relation is. It's a figure of speech.
This story is horrible enough as is, trying to give it legs with race baiting is hilarious considering you can't even point out Habersham on a map... yet here you are, the expert on the undercurrents and ulterior motives involved

Thank you very much. My former department is full of guys just like me. In fact most of them are smarter than me.

That would be wen UP to Habersham County. Its north of Atlanta not south.
eta: I agree with Swoopin if you are going to try and race bait at least know what the hell you are talking about.

It is interesting that not all the information is in this story. The family stayed in this home knowing the person who the warrant was for was dealing drugs out of the home. The family with the toddler knowingly stayed there with the drug deals and it has been stated in several other news articles they tried to keep the baby in another room when the deals went down. The family was planning on leaving the next couple days because of this.
It is awful what happened to the boy and I don't wish it upon anyone but the family knew where they were staying and the laws that were being broken. If anything, the family should be charged with child endangerment as they put themselves in this situation.

Is that not commonly known?

You are correct. The toddler in the pack in play should have packed it up and moved. The dumb arse cop said, if we knew that there were children in there we would have approached the thing differently. They had the house staked out and tried several times to set these guys guys up and the cops didn't know that there was children in the house? He talks out of both sides of his mouth.

Considering 87% of statistics are made up on the spot, I'd be willing to take that bet.
Regardless, lots of sad stories that don't get traction. The media has agendas, and will push things for the wrong reasons.

Up from Atlanta is airspace.

That was kind of the point of the initial post to which you responded.

You said the story was banned. It hasn't been. However, it is not a major headline like Tamir Rice.
Posted on 1/5/15 at 12:55 pm to Bmath
It was an obvious exaggeration, detective.

Those SNL skits with JT were all wrong unless they were only addressing folks due north of them.
