So, cop could not ask the suspect to remain in the car, call for back up while he runs a check on his license plate?

Just wait for back up and give him the ticket.

I guess everyone missed my 2nd part in my previous post about the suspect.

It's the officers discretion to make an arrest in that situation for reckless driving and he was well within his right to do so. Felt like to me that the cop got his adrenaline up when Cure didn't slow down immediately (even though he was working his way over to shoulder Cure was still hauling the mail) and he got out of the car hot and heavy. The combination of the officer being pissed off plus Cure being under the influence and his life experiences proved to be fatal.

The Brinks truck passes as they are fighting. You can see the brake lights.

No doubt the fully staffed police forces around the nation have multiple officers waiting to provide back up at any moment or maybe he could have behaved like an adult and not an animal but let’s keep making excuses

The officer had the right to defend his life.

Cut and dry on video what happened.

They guy was speeding, resisted arrest, and committed assault on a police officer.

Again, someone who been in prison is dangerous to arrest as they know how to get out being handcuffed. Some are use to being tased and gassed if they caused issues in the correction facility.

I would file civil suits against his family, attorney Ben crump, Washington Post, Washington Post editor & reporter, and anyone else who tired to say this situation was different. They cannot go around defaming people and not be accountable.
