Ok.

I was 10 when Andrew tore through.

No power for 10 days.

How am I still alive?

Congrats bud. I was 18 during Andrew. Point still stands. Notice how you’re the only one who agrees with your opinion on the matter?

Bet you wish you had a generator.

It’s not because I have a generator.

I wouldn’t recommend people using candles at all. Especially these days in apartments and condos. Recipe for disaster. Do you understand the mental midgets that encompasses society today ? They can’t be responsible with candles.

Anyone aware of where there are generators available in Baton Rouge? Or, if out of stock, is there any stores that may be getting shipments tomorrow?

If you don't find one then do what I did after suffering through Hurricane Gustav and buy one when its over. You'll be prepared next time.

The easiest way to cool them down is in the truck's AC while you're both in it and driving out of town.

That said, your best bet may be Costco, but I wouldn't count on it. Good luck.

If you lose power for three days, you won't need a generator.

I worked. Went home. I drank wine, read books by candle and flashlights, took a cold shower, and passed out.

So serious question: how did people manage to raise kids before AC?

Because back then it never got above 80 degrees. Man, don’t you know about global warming?

Gustav prompted me to save and purchase a Generac. It’s a game changer for Hurricanes.
