So they can get a big build project with shitloads of kickbacks.

It's probably the main reason for the removals. The little fat fig was always trying to get a retirement fund going.

So not only do my tax dollars go to remove the monuments, now I have to pay to rebuild each location?

I can't wait when each mayoral candidate comes knocking on my door this fall. First question I'm asking is about the monuments

You know it will be a 15x15 water fountain that never works and will only cost the taxpayers $60 million

Drivers here have such a commanding understanding of how traffic circles work, I've always thought that Lee's Circle needed something flashy in it to draw attention.

Crazy that 3 years ago I was in NO and unbeknownst to me, was seeing Lee for the last time.

That kinda sucks. Not sure when I'll visit the Big Easy again. I'm sure not in any hurry too.

No matter the cost, because we can't have nice things, and of course, the reason we can't have nice things, it will be graffiti tagged all to hell and won't work within one year.

My fondest memory of Lee Circle is one past long ago Mardi Gras when I was strolling past LC. I heard my name, looked up, and one of my best buds was in one of the big bowls smoking another big bowl.

Memories.... and this whole shite sucks for N.O.

No.

And can we turn back west end park fountain into a fountain while we're at it?
