I have 5 kids and none of them are liberal. All of them hunt fish and live conservative lives.

Naw, baw..
It's Gen X. I'm born in '81 and identity as Gen X.

That’s because Millennials should be a very small micro generation, as the whole point of the name was that they were “coming of age at the new millennium”. Gen X should wrap up with people who reached full adulthood prior to the digital age. Gen Z should begin with people who don’t remember an analog world.

That’s why I think they have a Xennial micro group. We remember an analog world before the internet, but we were also in HS and College when it took off.

It’s my qualifier and not scientific, but I always say:

- if you started HS without the concept of owning a cell phone
- know what MSDos was and actually used it.
- remember the advent of Windows 95 and the 30 disks to load it.
-remember actual floppy floppy disks
- remember Baby Jessica in the well
- think communism is evil and were raised that way
- were taught Pluto was a planet

…then you’re probably not a millennial.

Im gen X and my kids are doing great, and raising their kids right too. The main problem with the millenials/gen Z folks is the good ones are quiet and the weirdos make all the noise.

In the good old days, the weirdos shirked attention.

I think this is the issue as well. A lot of younger Gen x and older Millenials are fairly libertarian and just want to be left tF alone.

“Leave me alone” is not the same rousing battle cry as “give me free stuff, pay off my student loans, and love is love.”

I’m Gen X and sit around the dinner table every night with my two teenage sons laughing about how crazy this stuff is….along with original mom and wife of 23 years.

I will say though that out of about 10 friends myself and one other dude are the only ones that haven’t been divorced. But that’s more of an issue with the Gen X “daddy’s little angel” female with a couple of exceptions.

In my core group of 100+ friends that I’ve acquired in the 20ish years of being out of college, I’ve gone through 5 or 6 divorces (2 were the same dude.). I feel like I’m very much in a minority. I know it’s more frequent than that in the real world but most of my friend group is Reformed Presbyterians and Free Evangelicals. Not kosher in that group.

Yep, the mother of my children was one of those "Princesses" who expected who expected a royal existence. Well I'm a step below Esquire, so she found someone a decade older to get that comfy life.

Obviously there are two sides to every story and men are assholes, but….

I have seen a lot of marriages where the woman was not used to having to deal with adversity or bear down and do something she didn’t want to do because she had to for the family. When her reality wasn’t a picnic she blamed her husband or started skating around.

Edit: after thinking about it…I need to be fair. I think there’s just as much of the independent “frick this shite” going on with the Gen X guys as much as the girls.

That was 3.1. Windows 95 was on 2 CD’s.

Thanks for adding that bit about the gen X guys. My experience as a late genX lady was that there were very few actual men in my age group who wanted to settle down. My exes wanted to play video games at all hours and continue to binge/party while I paid the bills, owned the house and worked my arse off to provide my own comfort and security. I hate divorce but went through it twice, biting my nails about possibly losing assets to the losers who just wanted Cartman's mom to cosign on their crap. I could not find anyone worthy of raising children with, so I'm childless at 44 with 3 houses and too many cats, lol.

I thought the dating issue was related to living in a smaller city of 150k and limited choices but I moved to Harris County and I'm not impressed so far with the options here either. I'm thinking either go 7-10 years older or younger but I'm really not interested in any 44-45 year old men. Beware the year of the horse, notoriously slow to mature and even more so for male horses. Windows 95 also could be installed via 3.5” floppy disks. I wanna say it was 12 disks but it might have been more.

Latter end of Gen X here. Actually played t-ball and coaches pitch with baseball out rules. Youngest brother (early millennial) played the everyone bats and last batter had to be put out at home plate.

I'm Gen X and I have 2 kids, one is a Millennial and the other is Gen Z. Both were brought up with conservative values, and Christianity in their lives. My oldest I call Karen all the time because well, she's a Karen. My youngest is more conservative than I am. I do think that a lot of Millennials are starting to come around, though. They don't know a lot yet but they do know when their wallet is thinner with less to show for it. Gen Z will be a problem but they're heavily outnumbered and will, like Millennials, become more conservative as they get older.
We just have to find a way to knock some sense into bored suburban moms. And I think I'll catch a lot of shite here but I thing the gay community (who's getting tired of the tranny BS) will turn the suburban moms. Yes, I think the gay community is becoming more conservative.
I'm sorry for going off topic, do I get to claim being drunk as an excuse?

Last decent generation. Not saying there aren't decent individuals in younger generations, but those generations, as a whole, are garbage.

In my experience millenials born in the 80s up to about 1992 are ok but the later half of millenials suck

They didn’t listen to us and followed the Millennial’s lead. Generations tend to ignore their parents and idolize the one right in front of them.
