Jesus Christ.
They have no place in civilized society. Those poor kids are fricked for life.
And as an adoptive parent, this makes me irrationally angry
Very nice area. MAGA.

Massively higher rate of abuse.
These people will argue this until the day everyone is dead but it’s 100% true. It’s a fact when these children are put into this specific situation their chance of abuse is higher. It’s not even a discussion at this point.

Has Biden pardoned them yet?

There’s a documentary you should watch on YouTube.
Turned Out. It discusses, in detail, the boo game in one Alabama penitentiary.

They’ll be killed in prison.

If you are very angry about all of this news as you should be there is a good documentary on a gentleman named Jason Vukovich.

Adoptive homes and group home settings are rife with predators, and predator adjacent behavior. Unprotected minors, especially those with issues that make them more of a challenge to find placement are prime targets.
I was adopted twice and in many group and foster homes…in Florida and Louisiana.
I learned not to ever trust anyone’s altruistic motives. I can’t tell you how many times I heard the “this place is different” spiel from an adult as a child/teenager.
Some cliff notes without too much personal detail, please excuse any tangents. I haven’t thought of most of this stuff for years.
First foster home, they are unable to have biological children, it was a revolving door of care (at the time I was one of 6 children). Lots of abuse from the older kids.
First Adoption, guy died in Angola while serving time for crimes.
Then the first group home, catholic run. Priest introduces me to psychiatrist who is a friend to “help” with therapy and care. Psychiatrist later adopts…. Same shite.
That priest later leaves priesthood and marries an early 20’s transgender person as a 60 year old.
Another foster home. Teenage boys, all in a house by themselves. Guardians live in another location, collect the check and check out. While I was there, one of the boys raped of a mentally challenged boy who was also under their care. Nobody checked the housing situation after the state just removed the offender.
Hourly paid staff in group homes are just as bad. Any child with a diagnosis, behavioral problem; or they exhibit any trauma from their past gets progressively more narrow care options as they age in the system until the only options are either a juvenile detention center (if they’ve committed a crime) or a halfway house. I’d argue the latter is worse in many cases. There’s less supervision, structure, money, and more opportunistic workers (looking at you, Harmony House and Collis Temple).
Based on my experience, I believe the convicted filth from the article absolutely had red flags that were ignored by those who had a say in the adoption process.
