I really don’t think so. I see 12 and 13 year old kids with all those stereotypical mannerisms and voice (and more). They have 100% turned out to be gay.

But they observe the world around them. They could be imitating gays they see on TV/online.

It’s possible, but where I teach, it’s still very unpopular/stigmatizing to be gay. For males, at least.
