Lets say my car uses about 1000 kWh a month (actually less but to keep it simple for you), there was about a 12% cost increase for energy across La. Went from about $0.09/kWh to $.10/kwh. So my energy bill went up a WHOPPING $10/mo. Compare that to your jacked up 4X4 mall crawler's weekly gas bill going up 6%.

You stupid frick, where do you think you get the electricity that powers your car

do people understand the difference between the Keystone and the Keystone XL pipeline. I see it referenced here all the time and I suspect they do not.

No, I do not. You asked were our energy comes from I told you. You seem to have a sticking point on calling people who don't agree with you brainwashed liberals, you ever talk to a doctor about that, he may be able to prescribe you something about your small ego?

My favorite is recharging electric cars at stations run by diesel generators.

The strip mining for batteries is pretty bad as well.

I would think people in Louisiana would be pretty psyched by rising energy costs. Wait, you mean the massive profits by the corps don't trickle down that much to the peons helping produce it?

You do know Louisiana had to sue this administration because they blocked drilling permits for months and instead demanded we get more oil from Opec?

Honestly, the way I see it, the only way forward is nuclear. It is the only source that will be able to keep up with demand. Rather than putting money into the past, the money needs to be going towards developing the most efficient and safest nuclear production. If the US sticks the landing on that problem, its future will be far more solid.

To add to this, if we can figure out efficients methods of storing solar and geothermal energy, that would also help.

This is just as deserving of an "I did that" sticker as the price at the gas pumps. The President of the U.S. is a Civil Servant. That is all. Congress is much more influential on US policy than the President.
