Probably leaving ATL tomorrow to start the drive home to Houston. Now my concern of high water has been replaced with concern for fuel. Anyone driving that route or live near that route than can provide reports?

Appreciate it

I'm sure you'll be fine between Atl and Shreveport.

stick to the larger truck stops and you should be fine and there are plenty of them spaced out on that ride. I also believe that Pilot has their own pipeline so that should not affect their distribution. (Could be wrong on this, but I remember hearing that when Colonial blew up last year and everyone in Georgia was freaking the frick out.)

Gap Farms truck stop in Arcadia has Lea's pies. Pick you up a homemade pie to take to the folks.

This. This right here is why I paid .10 more today for gas than I would have yesterday. You people are trying to drive it back up to $4/gallon aren't you.

ETA: I hope your house stayed dry.

Ya well I was asking because Colonial Pipeline shut down and it supplies a significant portion of the gasoline for the SE

No supply issues in Shreveport. It's about $2.20 per gallon today.

Came from Shreveport last night and first stop to get gas the pumps were dry. I road up about 8 miles and stopped in Minden were they had gas.

Also some great Boudain at ext 69 at the gas station on the Northside of 20 that looks like a log cabin.

If it makes you feel better, the Texas Railroad Commish says there are no fuel shortages. And I haven't personally seen it in my area.

You plan to arrive tonight or spending the night in Dallas, that's a long arse drive.

yeah I've done Atlanta to Houston through Baton Rouge, just figured through Dallas would be longer, but still doable in a day, just a bitch of a drive

Try to fill up before you get to central Tx if you can.
Looks like people are panicking up and down I-35 causing temporary shortages in Austin and Waco.
