just don't understand the hatred toward LSU. Sure, it's mainly white students, but the percentage of blacks is growing.

And because more and more blacks don't want to go to southern. Heard it on the Jaguar journal.

Not really... they have things like paved streets, electricity, running water, a working sewer system, police, EMS, and fire coverage. Good luck finding most of that in the poorer parts of third world countries.

For fricking real. "Impoverished" people in the US have no fricking clue what real poverty is. Not that I have ever experienced anything close to that (except for when I had to sleep on friends' couches for a few months in college hahaha); however, I have witnessed it in China and Peru, and it is a life-changing experience.

Likely it's the ones who can qualify for LSU who aren't going to Southern. There has been an established initiative in recruiting minority students from the High Schools, and it's working from the looks of it.

You're correct. I'm rich, I'm white, I own a business. I scraped up change out of my couch so I could feed my kids while I started my business. I didn't get a loan from any governmental entity. I worked 7 days a week for 3 years. I didn't take a vacation for 5 years. I worked until 10pm some nights.

It's not racism. IT'S frickING FACT. I worked hard to get rich you lazy fricking morons.

There is no disparity in Healthcare. You go buy insurance and you can use the same facilities that I do. You get in your fricking car and you drive to the Lake. Just like I do. You see Doctor Bumgartner, just like I do.

Keep making excuses for your mediocrity. I'll keep making money.

I was exaggerating. Plus we live in a developed country. Places like Mexico have paved roads and police, doesn't mean the ghetto doesnt look like your driving through Tijuana.

Why can't they judge a man on his character instead of skin color?

The comment about Justice Clarence Thomas being the worst kind of black man because he is "color blind" is quite disturbing.

He wasn't just talking about choosing LSU over southern. Donations are low, children of alumni are opting out for other universities.

Yeah Gary seems to preach more of an us against them mentality vs. actual racial equality.

I have 0 problem with talking racial issues because they do exist, but Gary is more a part of the problem.

I know you were... but I was really making a point that no matter how bad people in North BR think they have it... they really don't.

And Mexico isn't even considered 'third world' by current standards.

Well they are talking like they are the minority in baton Rouge. They aren't. So why doesn't the majority stand up and do something?

I went to public school. It was one of the better schools in the state. Why? Parents gave a shite and were involved.

Just one excuse after the other.

There are business owners of all races in baton Rouge. Majority of them got there from hard work. How did that Asian family that has English as a second or 3rd language open that restaurant?

Blacks act like going to work is equivalent to slavery. Not all, but it's an excuse used.

Wasn't Gary the guy shielding Trudy White from one of the news stations a week or so ago? He knows she's done some shite. And he's protecting her.

Seems quite interesting to me.

I don't think you looked at the posts very carefully, there are a lot of black people on tiger droppings critical of your views.

Also, these are some of the smartest people I know on this site. They are smart enough to know real racism. But keep on crying about how black people don't get their fair share. While the rest of us white devils go create our own fair share.

I agree, BilJ. It's just crazy how the mentality has changed. Men like MLK, Jr. fought so you would see the MAN first, not the skin color. Now, it seems they fight for something quite contrary to that.
