Serious issue with only hiring BRPD officers from inside the city is there is a huge lack of qualified candidates. A lot of the officers hired originally lived in EBRP or the City of Baton Rouge. Once they get a few years on the job under their belt and some money saved if they do have a young family most do look for a home in Liv or Asc Parish for the schools.

I like the comment that said BRPD was 70/30 white/black. Then admitted she made the number up. Then said they should get background checks... Which, of course, they already do.
