Oh yeah Gary is a straight up conspiracy theorist. Hahaha

I forgot about the time Rolfe bent him over and shut his blog down for a few days. Hahahahah

Now Rolfe McCollister publisher of Baton Rouge Business Report called me a blogger and said it was crazy for me to say that the zoo was killing off the animals. Now here we are not even a month later and another dead animal, and none of the previous dead animals replaced? Something is fishy here... Maybe Rolfe is the crazy one... I wrote this March 22, 2016, and here we are again..

Now a few good white people and I'm sure the black folks who believe everything white people with money say think we are lying about why our website is shut down. Let me be clear, I posted the demand letter from the lawyers a few weeks ago. I'm posting it again, because I may be a lot of things but a liar I am not. Now to those who say The Rouge Collection isn't a threat to anybody, answer me this out of all the other websites that "trash talk" on issues (if all we do is talk trash) why hire lawyers, contact our web host, and go to the extreme of TEMPORARILY having our site shut down? I know it's hard for people to believe that there are white people in this city that don't want viable black media existent, but it's true. Because blacks are the majority and that's fine as long as we are dumb to what's going on, but they don't want us to be informed and the majority. That means we will actually demand equity. That means we will actually elect leaders that present legislation and ordinances that help our community, that means we will actually see economic impact happen for black businesses. They don't want that. So for everyone who feels like I have to lie to get attention, the truth stands much longer than a lie that's why I have no problem speaking the truth. I bring attention to the issues that we have, because those we sent to lead are failing us in their approach.

As a graduate of St George, its pretty hard to have anything else when have less than 10 black students school wide.

I had been friends with Gary on Facebook but after a few honest comments he now has me blocked because I didn't support his racist mission to look like a moron. The guy has less than 400 followers. Doesn't seem like his message is reaching a wide audience.

Well broadband internet access doesn't exist at EBR Parish Prison. If it did he'd have way more followers.

Who is Gary Chambers? And why should I care what he thinks?

Who is Gary Chambers?
A blogger who thinks the zoo purposefully killed animals so they could move the zoo to a white part of town, BRPD targets Southern commencement ceremonies to write speeding tickets, Black people should only support Black businesses, White people are out to make sure the people of North Baton Rouge have no healthcare, that Mayor Holden is an Uncle Tom, etc.

And why should I care what he thinks?
Honestly, you shouldn't. He destroys his credibility with his outrageous claims and behavior.
He feels "disrespected" that black men in BR make 50 cents for every dollar white men make (I don't know if that's true.) But if so..how much do white men spend on college education? (of their own money, not government subsidies).
People who invest in themselves and their education are likely to do better. That's not discrimination. That's fact.

It's disgraceful what he is doing. I'll be writing him an open letter the madness must stop!

The Rouge Collection location

It's particularly awesome that he lists his own statements as his favorite quotes.

Found this article where Gary hates on black's who succeed in Baton Rouge: LINK
Interesting quotes from article:
"I always question when I see a black person in the top 40 under 40 for the Baton Rouge Business Report. They cater to one side of the business community consistently. So, when I see a black person listed I know they are playing the game that blacks don’t win in this city."
WOW. So any black who is successful in BR must not be trustworthy.
This guy is a real piece of work. I had a friend who was named to 40 under 40, and he is a black guy with an incredibly guy with a great work ethic, wonderful presentation skills, etc., Not a bad thing about him, no matter who you ask. Except probably Gary Chambers.
Gary's philosphy seems to be if you're black in Baton Rouge and you aren't successful, it's the white man's fault. And if you're black in Baton Rouge and you are successful, you're not a true Black person.
He's holding back his own people. I like people who work hard and aspire to do great things. I don't care what color skin they have. Ambition and perseverance are key qualities. I'd never think less of anyone who was named to a Baton Rouge Business Report list.

The good news is that even black people who enjoy supporting their race, and want to see more black people succeed, are probably getting tired of the BS that is spewed from this idiots mouth. After it was brought to light that his 'office' is smack in the middle of St George and the wealthiest, whitest part of town I doubt many people with an IQ north of 25 will continue taking him serious about why no businesses want to open in NBR. He's a hypocrite and a shite starter, nothing more.

So, this is Gary's latest rant on Mike the Tiger getting treatment for cancer and North Baton Rouge not having an emergency room. The guy is such an awful writer it's hard to get to any of the substance...even if there were substance, which there isn't. Treating Mike the Tiger's cancer while there is no hospital in EBR is racist, yeah we get it. Oh, and apparently Gary loves food.
quote:
I give up on trying to eat until my mouth heals from the oral surgery I had last week. I can't imagine what people did before pain meds. I was doing good at first, but these last 48hrs have been the blues... I told someone yesterday I wish I could just not have a mouth until this heals. Two types of pain you don't want, mouth and feet. Both will have you confused about life ??????.
quote:
Last week an update from every local news station came across my phone, it ready Mike VI has cancer. I thought to myself, is this really news? Don’t get me wrong, I understand Mike is the beloved mascot of Louisiana’s flagship university, but my initial reaction was this isn’t news. Now some will oppose my editorial, but I’ve seen much debate on social media about the issue so I decided to weigh in. People love animals and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Animals have proven to be an asset to war veterans and cancer patients. They have cheered up many on sad days, and are greatly appreciated by those who own them. Yet somehow, I am always amazed at how some of our community reacts to the preservation of the life of an animal more than the lives of people who live in their community. It was reported this week that Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center will treat Mike, and absorb the cost of his treatment. When this update began to circulate, I thought to myself this must be a joke. First of all LSU athletics is loaded with money, they don’t exactly need assistance paying for the care of the tiger they keep as the mascot for the university. More importantly, I haven’t seen the same level of compassion about residents of north Baton Rouge who have a lack of access to healthcare everyday, as I have about Mike the Tiger. This is where the question of humanity is raised. How is it that we can be so concerned about the wellbeing of a tiger, yet care so little about over 100,000 people having a lack of access to adequate healthcare? Mike is being treated by some of the top doctors in our market, at a first class facility. Yet the residents of north Baton Rouge, aren’t blessed with the same benefits. We are told that asking for tax dollars to be allocated to a project in north Baton Rouge is wrong. Yet facilities like Our Lady of the Lake, receive millions upon millions of tax dollars every year to service patients. How is it that no one complains that a tiger is being given medical treatment? Yet when humans can’t afford to pay for medical care they are called leaches and derogatory names for wanting access to the same care that Mike is getting. The reality is, some of us care more about an animal than we do humans and that’s sad. Just this weekend a 4 year old boy fell into the cage of a gorilla in Ohio. As a result the animal was shot and killed in order to save the life of the little boy. People are outraged. They want the parent to have to pay for the loss of the gorilla. As the parent of a 6 year old who just recently went to the zoo, I’m amazed at the lack of compassion for human life. The gorilla was dragging a young boy around a cage. We have placed more value on the life of this animal than on the life of the little boy that was saved as a result of killing the animal. I’m sorry, but I would kill 100 animals to save my daughter. We have somehow lost our true moral compass to care for one another. Yes, we should be concerned about the wellbeing of animals, but not more than we care about humans. Residents of Baton Rouge, from every corner should want to see access to healthcare expanded in north Baton Rouge. The very same way they want to see Mike the Tiger get treatment for his cancer. Increasing care in north Baton Rouge is good for all of Baton Rouge. Do I see a problem with Mike being treated? Not really. I just think it’s backwards to preserve the life of a tiger faster than we do the life of a human and hear no one complain about the cost. Maybe if residents of Baton Rouge, were as vocal about the need to expand healthcare for residents in north Baton Rouge, people wouldn’t see the need to compare. Is there a cost involved? Certainly, but human life should matter more than the cost. Healthcare is one of those things that we shouldn’t see a need to debate about the cost. Why? I think it’s simple, people don’t ask to get sick. It happens, it’s a part of life. Many of us say we are pro-life, but only relate that to one phase of life, birth. I believe being pro-life, means we are concerned about the lives of others all our days. The problem isn’t with Mike the Tiger getting treatment. The question is, where is the same humanity concerning our human neighbors? I’ve been saying it for months, and I’ll say it again. North Baton Rouge needs a hospital. We have a chance to open an emergency room by January, this should be as important to all residents of Baton Rouge as Mike getting treatment. Let us not allow our humanity to be questioned, because our compassion extends more to an animal than to other humans. You can tell what is important to a community, by what goes viral in the community.
