Spent $120 (I just realized I left a box of stuff sitting on the curb, messing with the fishing rods, I left a box)

$2 robot

$8 Disney stuff

$5 jewelry and wallet

$60 Kitchenaid mixer

$20 Daiwa reels

$20 sawzall

Not a great day. I left $20 sitting on the curb, the jewelry is junk, and the Kitchenaid is a middle tier one, worth about $20 more than I paid.

The sawzall should bail me out

I like the fact that you admit to your flops (and I'm not being sarcastic).

My older sister goes to the casino once a week and collects antiques. She always talks about the wins ... never the losses.

I like that bone ivory looking bracelet, AT. Are you sure it’s junk? I’ll keep an eye on your eBay page for it. I like it.

I do enjoy seeing the shite you buy...if only for nostalgia.

Never cared much for the bragging on the profit you made, but you seem to have a very successful method for flipping stuff for a profit.

Best of luck on the next one

It’s not bragging, it’s showing the idiots here that I can do it all the time. Today would have been a decent day if I didn’t buy the mixer and leave a box sitting on the side of the road.
The only reason I bought the mixer was because I had just found the sawzall, which should bring around $100

If it’s real ivory on silver, that bracelet will pay for everything he bought today. I’ll be interested to know if it is. The wife (no pics) loves vintage jewelry like that.

If you can find the right buyer, you should make out ok on those Daiwa reels. Get them cleaned up and a collector will buy them.

My man, your posting your profits on an anonymous message board...to show the idiots that you can do it all the time.

What do you do with all this stuff? Honest question, I've always wondered what the appeal of garage sales were.

FWIW I paid almost 400.00 for a similar mixer for my wife about 6 months ago. It was brand new though. Love your threads

I was driving down Highland this morning and saw an estate sale sign and stopped by out of curiosity. Guess I've read too many of antiquetiger's posts. Huge and nice house, but nothing really interested me. I kept wondering the whole time what the story was behind the sale. It's been years since I have been to an estate sale and those seemed to be in the homes of elderly couples and it was kind of depressing. This house seemed to have a lot of toys in it and the house seemed to be less than 20 years old. Maybe people are just downsizing and what they don't move they just advertise an an estate sale? What is the typical story behind these?

If that mixer don't work. I'm one of the only guys in the state licensed to fix them.

Would cost you just an Opus shirt. Lol

Really though that's not bad for an artisan. Look on the back for the Hobart logo.

If it says Hobart it's a Hobart Kitchenaid not a Whirlpool Kitchenaid and they are better.
