You can barely even find Coleman fuel these days, its all propane.
It’s hard to find Kerosene?
Coleman fuel is clean gasoline, kerosene is clean diesel, different flash points.

trust me those sales are the worst. those tightwads only throw out REALLY SHITTY stuff and overprice everything.
you gotta find a random middle class fancy older couple who is just clearing out after their kids left the nest.
Wrong!!!
Rich people buy expensive stuff, and when they have garage sales, they do it for the true reason to have garage sales, to get rid of junk. They sell cheap.
Middle class look all their shite up on eBay and price accordingly. Nothing worse than walking up to a garage sale and seeing sheets of paper where they printed out an auction on eBay, showing what it sells for. Usually they just do an active auction with no bids, and they print the highest item. I look up sold auctions, it’s not even close to what they are asking.

Damn bro you paid $15 for a pile of costume jewelry she probably paid a dollar for back in the day.
I haven’t searched the bags yet. That’s my favorite thing to do, buy a huge bag, search later. I find gold all the time. All it takes is one piece.
Plus, some costume jewelry are very valuable, depends on the designer.

That Coleman lantern would need a lot of restoration work to make it worth your wild. You can barely even find Coleman fuel these days, its all propane.
or you just bring a small LED battery powered light like a normal human being that lives in 2020.
That Coleman lantern is a decoration at best. I don't know what kind of idiot would buy that to actually use. More power to you if you find that idiot.

That Griswold CI Corn Muffin pan is the best buy IMHO.

I paid up for it, $10. It’s only worth $20-$30

I enjoy threads where people post about something they know a lot about that I do not.
Thanks and keep posting!

I always thought it was VM&P Naptha...so it is more oily, evaporates more slowly and has a higher flash point than gasoline....but is thinner and evaporates faster than Kerosene.

What most people here don’t realize, there is a collector for nearly anything. I paid $1 for a nearly 70 year old Coleman lantern. Old Coleman lanterns are highly collected. Like I said earlier in this thread, I bought a 1961 model about six weeks ago. I paid $5, sold it for $135, and it was about the same condition. This one just needs cleaning.

I do a bit of collecting and restoring of antique cast iron (specifically Griswold). I hate to break it to you, but that pan is more than likely a reproduction.

I thought it looked a little fishy, poorly made

There is no way you're not a hoarder

The model rockets made me look up engines. I'm kinda shocked you can still buy all the engines, even the big arse high impulse engines for the first stage of large models.
I had one of those when I was a kid that was three stages. I put long burning engines in each stage. WAY more than was recommended. I launched it on a crystal clear winter day and somewhere around halfway through the second stage burn is when I lost sight of it.
I like to think I was the first non-state player to reach space. Suck it, Musk.

quote:Like I said above, I don't think it is genuine. From the pic you showed, it doesn't appear that the corn goes from edge to edge like it should. The letters are difficult to read and there is a lot of porosity on the casting itself. Also, there is little to no detail on the handles like there should be. I'd chalk it up to a lesson learned and be done with it.

A real one should look like this.

I did find this #9 Lodge last week for $20. Cleaned up nicely, but I found a small crack in the lid after cleaning it.

you spent $115 too much. At least you can have fun with the rockets
