Walked out my garage this morning at 06:45 and I see the rear end of my neighbors truck in the air on a dually. He was unloading his stuff out of it. Really didn't think much of it until I passed it and the truck had Louisiana Recovery Services on the side. Guess the quickest way to get on your feet is to not pay your car note.

It's sickening for someone to attempt humor at someone else's misfortune.

Yea true but I don't think he would have been outside with a garbage bag, in pajamas and no shoes it is was going to the shop.

Feel bad for the guy? Now, if he got laid off from his job, maybe, but more than likely he's doing what 95% of repoed car owners do. That is getting himself in debt with more vehicle than he could afford.
People like that screw up America.

In La doesn't a sheriff have to be present for repo's?

Does La have repo men?

Very true. People do this with a lot of things and wonder why they are in debt. That's why I said kinda.

If you can't pay the bill, at least be a man and turn it in yourself. There's no shame in that if it's a legitimate turn of bad luck.

Don't make them come get it from you, though. That's disgraceful.

No they don't have to be there, only if they think that there is going to be an issue. There is services that do it.

Or try to at least make arrangements with the bank. They will work with you, most of them anyway.

I can't help that the guy had a Tulane sticker on his back window... It was his choice.

We all do. They walk among us.

I lived in a nice neighborhood in Destin and the repo guys came by one afternoon and picked up one of the neighbors Mercedes

It was kind of funny by kind of sad. They did have three other cars in the driveway so I didn't feel that bad for them.
