In La doesn't a sheriff have to be present for repo's?
Does La have repo men?
Just during evictions on real estate. Not for vehicles.
My friend is an office manager for the largest vehicle recovery operator in the state and she tells me crazy stories about it all of the time.

They make decent money but yea I agree. They suggest you consider getting a CC license.

There is no doubt I would have a CC firearm. People anywhere will be furious and shite will hit the fan quickly

She claims that people pay up or make arrangements with the bank like 70% of the time when they see the repo man. The repo men actually get more money if that happens vs repo'ing the car. They make $300 to actually repo it IIRC and can easily do a few per day.

I've seen a few, and just stood there and was amazed at how quickly they get the vehicle out of there
Happened to one of my coworkers at work and within a minute or so, the truck was gone

The one I saw at my apt complex was a bad arse tundra with his business logo on the sides

I can promise no matter how nice a neighborhood is there will always be neighbors barely getting by.
They are one missed paycheck away from getting repoed

Actually, I think the nicer the neighborhood, the more likely it is. Always someone stretching and living beyond their means to keep up with the Joneses.

It's sad that people are like that too. Be yourself and buy what you can afford. No way in Hell I would pay a crazy arse car note. I have seen people pay, $800 - $1,100 a month for a vehicle! That is a house note. But if you can truly afford it, knock yourself out!

There should be no shame in buying used if that's whats in your budget but too many people have to have new.
To be sort of fair here though, the used truck market is ridiculously high because cash for clunkers fricked it all up. I see 6-7 yr old trucks with 100K+ miles for $25K all of the time and think WTF.

Way to judge someone based off an observation without knowing the situation and circumstances that may have lead to the situation. Then you have the wherewithal/balls to come post it on Tigerdroppings for some unknown reason.
Your high horse...get off it

I would think in those neighborhoods the pressure to keep up with the Joneses is MUCH higher as well.

Actually that image best describes you. You're the badass that decided it was breaking news to inform the internet that your neighbor had his car repossessed. is your life that screwed up that you take pleasure in others misfortunes or are you just a badass?

Will probably turn out to be a blessing to get out from under that car payment.
