I don't think I would ever presume that it would be black people doing the assault.
Still holds true. Living white is the main thing keeping me safe in NOLA.

There is a small but vocal group that is working hard to recall Sharon Weston Broome. They're not doing it because she's black. They're doing it because she's a horrible mayor. Many of them supported Holden and some of them supported Broome in the runoff. This same group has been labeled as racists by Gravy, Kibbles, Helmet Head and their ilk.

That doesn't sound racists at all
Facts can be uncomfortable, doesn't mean they aren't still facts

It wouldn't make it any better, but the fact is they aren't white. Why create an argument for something that isn't really an issue around here?

I think all races could greatly improve, but in reality there are some pretty great people of all races.

No one is denying that.
The problem is that people are being called racists because they're calling out the fact that blacks are almost exclusively committing all the murders in BR.

I wouldn't jump to the statement of whites don't need to change and blacks do.
I would say the meth problem in South La is almost exclusively white people. Does that mean white people need to change? No. It isn't all white people.

I'm talking about murders in BR. Let's address the issue at hand.

Ah, the original statement was that a group of people in "this country" need to change

I don't give a shite about meth in LP. I'm concerned about BR, and the problems in BR aren't created by meth heads.

You're just arguing to argue.

When white folks start protesting police for killing meth heads with a laundry list of prior's you've got an argument. That never happens.

Man shot, killed on Florida Boulevard late Tuesday; neighbor says she heard about a dozen shots

One man was fatally shot on Florida Boulevard at N. Acadian Thruway around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night, said Baton Rouge Police spokesman Sgt. Don Coppola.
Markia Johnson, who lives close the intersection, said she heard about 12 shots fired – six shots, then a pause, then six more.
"We heard it all," Johnson, 41, said. "I hate to say it, but I hate Baton Rouge."
Johnson said her son saw the man who was killed after the shooting, and recognized him as a homeless man who often sits out with a sign at the intersection.
"The man didn't bother anyone, not to get shot like that," Johnson said. "It's senseless."
Johnson, who moved to the Capital City about five years ago, said she plans to move and take her two sons, 18 and 19, with her.
"I do not want to see my two boys dead on the street," she said.

If true, then damn. Just damn.

70? 60 ? It's just a number . And what is a number but a racist construct anyway? If we would quit focusing on racist numbers we would realize that I believe the children are our future . Only through prayer people.

So why not just move? It's not like it's going to be getting any better. If anything it's going to get worse.

Most of the people doing the killing are career criminals that were given light sentences for previous crimes.
This is the real problem. The culprits of most of the murders are the usual suspects with long lists of arrests.
It's career criminals killing career criminals

People don't move because they have jobs , homes, businesses, family, etc. Pretty simple to understand that. Just like Nola, they have carved out a nice little life for themselves in a nice neighborhood and they are able to compartmentalize that on the one hand, and ghetto violence on the other.
