This isn’t just a culcha thing in NOLA. The 2nd picture TheCaterpillar posted earlier is Mickey Easterling. She was a well-known NOLA socialite who wanted to go out in style. She had a public viewing. I know a photographer who covered it for the local paper. He said it was the weirdest thing he had ever covered for The Picayune. And he had worked there for years.

Is this on the fark board? I see the potential now.
What’s strange to me is the picture in the op of this thread has the props on his left. However, other pictures have his props/table to the right of him.. why would they move the table?

Ashes don't expire brother.
I'd just pay for a few different trips in my will if they can't do a 2 week vacation.
But my family did several vacations to Europe and other places growing up that took 2 or more weeks. Its pretty common.
But I was deprived because we never went to Disney.
