I beat Billy Cotton in 1v1 tourney at the sheriffs camp when I was in middle school.
Two years later, as a 7th grader, he straight up slam dunked over the 7th grade team PG. For some reason, the Jr high wouldnt let anyone play up a grade. We were thankful, because we were all on the 8th grade team and never had to play him.

I graduated from South Beauregard, which everyone in parish seemed to hate our school. Not so much DeRidder, but Merryville, EB, etc all didnt like us because we usually got all the nice shite.
ETA: I'm pretty sure that DHS goals were measured once, 9'10" if I remember right.

Wow. I worked there when it first opened the summer between my 8th and 9th grade year (1982?). We lived in Rosepine at the time. Moved away when I was a sophomore. I love that place.
